Color matching of teeth is also available.
Veneers are very durable and will last you for many years. They are an excellent cosmetic option to give you a natural, white, beautiful, and uniform smile. There are a number of reasons to choose porcelain veneers, including:
A root canal treatment is nothing to be afraid of! It is a safe procedure that has a high success rate, and many times will last a lifetime. However, there are some instances that a second root canal on a tooth happens because of new or recurrent infections. It is important to continue regular dental exams and cleanings to ensure a long lasting, good result.
If you are seeing any of the following symptoms, then you may need a root canal. Keep in mind that sometimes there are no obvious symptoms.
Root canal therapy may be necessary if decay has reached your tooth's pulp (the tissue inside the tooth), an infection or abscess has developed inside the tooth or at its root tip, or if there has been trauma or an injury to your tooth.
At Wilson Family Dental, Dr. Wilson has the skills and knowledge to perform endodontic procedures. This includes implementing singular and multiple canals and root canals. In some instances, a cavity can affect your tooth so much that a filling isn't enough. When a patient is experiencing severe pain, continual dull ache, or swelling- this could mean the nerve in the tooth is being traumatized and will need to be removed. When this is done, the pain should subside. When the nerve is removed from the tooth (root canal therapy), the tooth structure is weakened. In order to keep the tooth in place and be strong again, a post and core build-up happens, and a beautiful, natural looking crown will take its place.
